Chefs Move to Schools Program
It was the chance of a lifetime to get an “invitation” from the White House!
The Chef’s Move to Schools (CMTS) volunteer initiative will be implemented in schools across the nation in the coming weeks and months.
The goal of the program is to have chef’s adopt a school in their local community,
then visit the students on a regular basis to get them excited about eating healthy and/or making healthy food choices.
This can be accomplished in several fun and creative ways.
Some chef’s have even taken it further by developing school gardens and assist the cafeteria staffs to institute healthy options in their daily lunch programs!
As an extension of Michelle Obama’ Let’s Move program, this is the CHEF’S moment in history…..
food consciousness has never been this high and all chef’s can capitalize on their celebrity and make food cool!
